A deep wave of sorrow swept through Pakistan’s religious and academic circles on Monday as Maulana Fazlur Rahim Ashrafi, the mohtamim of Jamia Ashrafia, passed away after a prolonged illness. His death marks the end of an era for one of the country’s most influential centres of Islamic learning.

Family sources confirmed that the respected scholar had been battling health complications for an extended period before breathing his last, leaving students, scholars, and devotees heartbroken across the country.

Funeral Prayers and Final Farewell

The funeral prayer of the late Maulana will be offered at Jamia Ashrafia at 2pm, where a large gathering of students, religious scholars, and admirers is expected. Many see the moment not just as a farewell, but as a collective expression of gratitude for a life devoted to faith and knowledge.
