Fifteen Terrorists Eliminated in Back to Back KP Operations Says ISPR

ISPR says intelligence-based actions are part of ongoing National Action Plan efforts

Pakistani security forces killed fifteen terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 15 and 16 November, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday. The operations targeted Indian-backed Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan militants known as Fitna ul Khawarij, including several top leaders, as part of the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign Azm e Istehkam.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the first operation took place in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan District after intelligence inputs confirmed the presence of militants linked to Fitna ul Khawarij. During the exchange of fire, security forces killed ten terrorists, including the group’s key leader, Alam Mehsud.

In a separate operation in Datta Khel tehsil of North Waziristan District, five more terrorists were neutralized. The military said clearance operations are underway in both regions to remove any remaining threats.

The ISPR stated that the actions form part of a sustained campaign approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan. The goal is to dismantle foreign-backed terror networks and restore lasting security in the region.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their performance, saying that under the national resolve for stability and determination, the country’s forces continue to secure major counter-terrorism successes. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism from Pakistan.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also commended the professionalism of the security personnel, saying they had once again foiled the plans of Indian-sponsored militants. He added that the nation supports their efforts to bring peace to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and stressed that operations will continue until all terrorist elements are removed.
