Islamabad condemns Indian rhetoric, warns against destabilising tactics
Pakistan has strongly condemned what it describes as India’s ongoing state-sponsored terrorism, asserting that propaganda campaigns cannot alter ground realities.
During the weekly media briefing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi rejected recent controversial statements made by India’s Defence Minister, saying Pakistan will protect its sovereignty at all costs.
What Pakistan said about India
The spokesperson stressed that Pakistan has repeatedly highlighted India’s involvement in destabilising activities.
“Pakistan rejects the irresponsible remarks and malicious propaganda. Our armed forces are fully committed to defending the nation,” Andrabi said.
He added that Pakistan will continue exposing India’s attempts to create a false narrative in the region.
Why the tensions have escalated
The comments come at a time of heightened geopolitical pressure between the two nuclear-armed neighbours, following a series of Indian allegations and aggressive statements targeting Pakistan.
Islamabad says these remarks reflect:
- India’s growing frustration over its failures in occupied Jammu and Kashmir
- An attempt to divert global attention away from human rights abuses
- Efforts to justify its internal and external security policies
