Pakistani High Commission confirms safe transfer of three nationals back home.
India Releases Three Pakistani Prisoners
India has released three Pakistani prisoners, who were repatriated through the Wagah border crossing after the completion of all legal requirements, officials confirmed on Friday.
According to a statement from the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi, the individuals released are Asghar Ali, Ramzan, and Muhammad Idrees.
Handover After Legal Process
A spokesperson for the High Commission said the transfer took place once Indian authorities completed all necessary legal formalities, following which the prisoners were officially handed over to Pakistani officials.
The spokesperson added that the High Commission facilitated the documentation and coordination required for the repatriation.
Return to Homeland
After the formal handover at Wagah, the three men were allowed to return to Pakistan, ending their period of incarceration in India.
Such releases typically occur under bilateral arrangements and consular agreements between the two countries.
The repatriation is seen as a routine consular process but comes at a time when regional relations remain sensitive.
