Pakistan U-19s set for tri-series test ahead of World Cup

Farhan Yousuf Retains Captaincy

The Pakistan Cricket Board on Thursday announced the Pakistan Under-19 squad for the upcoming tri-nation series in Zimbabwe and the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026, with Farhan Yousuf retaining his role as captain.

The young skipper will continue to lead the side as Pakistan looks to fine-tune its combinations ahead of the global tournament.

One Change in Squad

According to official details, the selectors made one change to the previously announced squad, bringing in Umar Zaib in place of Mohammad Huzaifa.

Usman Khan has been named vice-captain, providing leadership support during the high-pressure fixtures.

Tri-Nation Series in Zimbabwe

The tri-nation series, featuring Pakistan, Afghanistan, and host Zimbabwe, will be played from December 25 to January 6.

The series is expected to provide valuable match exposure and competitive experience for the young Pakistani side ahead of the World Cup.

ICC U-19 World Cup 2026

The ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026 is scheduled to take place from January 15 to February 6, jointly hosted by Namibia and Zimbabwe.

Pakistan will be aiming to reclaim youth cricket glory and build momentum with a confident showing in the lead-up series.
