Pakistan, Saudi Military Chiefs Commit to Expanding Defence Ties
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening defence and security cooperation after a key meeting between their military leaders at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Monday. The Saudi Chief of General Staff, General Fayyad bin Humaid Al-Ruwaili, met Field Marshal and Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir to discuss areas of mutual strategic interest.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting focused on enhancing the long-standing defence partnership between the two nations, with particular emphasis on security cooperation, counterterrorism, and military training collaborations.
Upon his arrival, General Al-Ruwaili laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial, honouring Pakistan’s fallen soldiers.
