Rohit reaches 352 sixes in ODIs, surpassing Afridi’s 351 in fewer innings

India’s veteran batter Rohit Sharma has officially surpassed Pakistan legend Shahid Afridi to become the all-time leading six-hitter in men’s One-Day Internationals.

The historic feat came during the opening ODI of India’s three-match series against South Africa at the JSCA International Stadium Complex. Beginning the match with 349 ODI sixes, Rohit needed only three more to eclipse Afridi’s long-standing record of 351 sixes.

In a scintillating innings, Rohit smashed three towering sixes en route to a half-century, bringing his ODI six tally to 352 in 269 innings — remarkably fewer than Afridi, who hit 351 sixes in 369 innings over 398 matches.
