Bradford Woman Jailed in Major Heroin Trafficking Case

£8.5 Million Drug Haul Uncovered

A 34-year-old woman from Bradford, Sidrah Nosheen, has been sentenced to 21 years and six months in prison after authorities uncovered £8.5 million worth of heroin hidden inside her home.

Arrest and Investigation

According to the BBC, Nosheen was arrested in June 2024 as part of an investigation into an organised crime group. Officers from the National Crime Agency (NCA) found heroin concealed in multiple locations throughout her house, including delivered clothing, bags, a wallpaper pasting table, and drug-processing tools with weighing scales.

Evidence Found During the Raid

During the raid at her property on Woodside Road, Wyke, officers discovered plastic-wrapped clothing and packaging remnants linked to drug distribution. Investigators also recovered hundreds of mobile phone messages exchanged with an accomplice in Pakistan, outlining plans to move and distribute heroin across the UK.

Role Within the Crime Network

Further inquiries revealed that Nosheen handled multi-kilo drug shipments and had once collected £250,000 in cash for the criminal network. Although she was initially due to stand trial, she later changed her plea, admitting to conspiracy to supply and import heroin.

NCA Statement

NCA officer Rick MacKenzie stated that Nosheen appeared to live an ordinary life in Bradford, but in reality, she played a central role in moving large quantities of heroin nationwide. He added that she showed no concern for the devastation caused by Class A drugs and was motivated purely by profit.

Court Verdict

Bradford Crown Court handed down the sentence on Tuesday, concluding one of the region’s most serious drug trafficking cases.
