PMD Forecasts Rain in Karachi from December 30

Karachi residents may experience rainfall early next week as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast wet weather in the city starting from December 30.

According to the PMD, a westerly weather system is expected to affect the area between Tuesday night and Wednesday, bringing a chance of rain after a spell of cool and dry conditions.

Current Weather Conditions

The PMD reported that the minimum temperature in Karachi has dropped to 12 degrees Celsius, while the current temperature stands at around 16 degrees Celsius.

During the day, the maximum temperature is expected to hover near 26 degrees Celsius, keeping conditions relatively pleasant for this time of year.

Fog and Reduced Visibility

Light fog has been reported in parts of the city, reducing visibility to about two kilometres. Winds are currently blowing at a speed of eight kilometres per hour, while humidity levels remain at around 60 per cent.

The PMD advised residents to stay updated on weather advisories, especially those planning travel during late night and early morning hours when fog may persist.
