Pakistan Bangladesh Series Rescheduled To Be Played in Two Stages

ODI series to follow T20 World Cup, Tests scheduled for May

Pakistan’s tour of Bangladesh will now take place in two separate phases following revisions to the original schedule, marking a significant change to the bilateral cricket calendar.

Earlier, Pakistan were set to tour Bangladesh during March and April, but under the updated itinerary, the series has been rescheduled to take place after the T20 World Cup.

ODI Series After World Cup

According to the revised plan, the Pakistan team is expected to travel to Bangladesh for a One Day International (ODI) series shortly after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup. This phase will form the limited-overs segment of the bilateral contest.

Test Series Scheduled for May

Pakistan will then return to Bangladesh later in May for the longer format, where a two-match Test series is scheduled to be played. Splitting the tour into two phases allows both teams to manage international commitments and player workloads more effectively.

Shift From Earlier Plan

The revised schedule represents a clear departure from the initial plan, which had both the ODI and Test series scheduled in a single window during March and April.

Cricket boards from both countries are expected to finalise match dates and venues in due course, with official confirmations anticipated soon.
