Pakistan Indonesia Sign Wide Ranging Agreements to Boost Cooperation in Trade Education SMEs

Pakistan and Indonesia marked a major diplomatic milestone as Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Islamabad for his first official visit in seven years. The visit culminated in the signing of several agreements designed to strengthen cooperation in education, trade, SMEs, halal certification, and historical archival research.

Warm Welcome at the Prime Minister House

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed President Subianto with full ceremonial honours, including a guard of honour presented by a smart contingent of Pakistan’s armed forces. The Indonesian president also planted a commemorative sapling, symbolizing renewed partnership.

During the visit, Subianto will also meet President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called the discussions “very positive and constructive,” emphasizing joint cooperation in medical sciences, vocational training, and health.

He noted that Pakistan will dispatch doctors, medical professors, and technical experts to support Indonesia’s healthcare needs.
